UNITED NATIONS

We've taken the United Nations up on its call to "Partner for the Goals" - the "Sustainable Development Goals"that is!  Together we're giving kids around the world a chance to use gameplay to tackle global challenges while they play. 

CHARITY: WATER

Charity: Water is a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations. Founded by Scott Harrison in 2006, Charity: Water has helped fund 6,611 projects in 20 countries, benefiting over 2,545,000 people.

CENTER FOR BIOLOGICAL DIVERSITY

The Center for Biological Diversity believes that the welfare of human beings is deeply linked to nature — to the existence in our world of a vast diversity of wild animals and plants. Because diversity has intrinsic value, and because its loss impoverishes society, they work to secure a future for all species, great and small, hovering on the brink of extinction. They do so through science, law and creative media, with a focus on protecting the lands, waters and climate that species need to survive.

REEF CHECK

Reef Check  is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering people to save our reefs and oceans  Founded in 1996 by marine ecologist Dr. Gregor Hodgson, the Reef Check Foundation has volunteer teams in more than 90 countries and territories working to educate the public about the value of reef ecosystems and the current crisis affecting marine life; to create a global network of volunteer teams trained in Reef Check's scientific methods who regularly monitor and report on reef health; and to stimulate local community action to protect remaining pristine reefs and rehabilitate damaged reefs worldwide. 

PACHAMAMA ALLIANCE 

The mission  of The Pachamama Alliance is to empower indigenous people of the Amazon rainforest to preserve their lands and culture and, using insights gained from that work, educate and inspire individuals everywhere to bring forth a thriving, just and sustainable world. 

RED CROSS

The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.

HEROIC IMAGINATION PROJECT

The Heroic Imagination Project (HIP) is a nonprofit organization that teaches people how to take effective action in challenging situations. Headquartered in San Francisco, California, The Heroic Imagination Project was founded by Dr. Philip Zimbardo with the mission of translating the extensive research findings of social psychology and related fields into meaningful insights and tools that individuals can use in their everyday lives to transform negative situations and create positive change. 

GIRAFFE HEROES PROJECT

Giraffe Heroes Project mission is to move people to stick their necks out for the common good, and to give them tools to succeed. Giraffe Heroes Project achieves this mission through finding and commending real heroes, by creating and delivering Giraffe workshops, books & speeches, curricula & trainings for schools, a database of heroes around the world, OpEds, blogs, & a monthly e-zine, Heads Up.  Giraffe Heroes Project was founded by Ann Medlock in 1983. 

THE CONVERGING WORLD

We use the surplus funds from our wind turbines to support social and environmental projects in both our Indian and UK communities. Relieving poverty and distress through tackling climate change and social inequality are core to our mission. 

PERMACULTURE ASSOCIATION

The Permaculture Association is the national charity that supports members and the public with advice, support, information and training about the theory and practice of permaculture.The word 'permaculture' comes from 'permanent agriculture' and 'permanent culture' - it is about living lightly on the planet, and making sure that we can sustain human activities for many generations to come, in harmony with nature. Permanence is not about everything staying the same. Its about stability, about deepening soils and cleaner water, thriving communities in self-reliant regions, biodiverse agriculture and social justice, peace and abundance.

INTERNATIONAL DARK SKY ASSOCIATION

IDA is the recognized authority on light pollution. Founded in 1988, IDA is the first organization to call attention to the hazards of light pollution, and in 24 years of operation our accomplishments have been tremendous. We promote one simple idea: light what you need, when you need it. We know some light at night is necessary for safety and recreation. We work with manufacturers, planners, legislators, and citizens to provide energy efficient options that direct the light where you want it to go, not uselessly up into the sky.

EARTH CHARTER INITIATIVE 

The mission of the Earth Charter Initiative is to promote the transition to sustainable ways of living and a global society founded on a shared ethical framework that includes respect and care for the community of life, ecological integrity, universal human rights, respect for diversity, economic justice, democracy, and a culture of peace.

THE MILLENNIUM PROJECT

Our missionis to improve thinking about the future and make that thinking available through a variety of media for feedback to accumulate wisdom about the future for better decisions today.The Millennium Project was founded in 1996 after a three-year feasibility study with the United Nations University, Smithsonian Institution, Futures Group International, and the American Council for the UNU. It is now an independent non-profit global participatory futures research think tank of futurists, scholars, business planners, and policy makers who work for international organizations, governments, corporations, NGOs, and universities.

c3: CENTER FOR CONSCIOUS CREATIVITY

Our mission is creating a better future through arts, media and entertainmen. c3: Center for Conscious Creativity is a nonprofit arts and transmedia interdisciplinary research, education and project development organization founded in 2004 to provide artists, media makers, content creators and other interested individuals, a platform and resources to create projects and explore how consciousness, creativity, emerging culture, entertainment and communication technologies can help create a better world.

RAINCATCHERS

Mission: Providing clean driving water to people in Haiti. Raincatchers.org is an organization that leads groups of volunteers into the mountains of southeast Haiti to build simple, sustainable rainwater collection systems called Raincatchers.

WORLD FUTURES STUDIES FEDERATION

The World Futures Studies Federation (WFSF) is a global non-governmental organization that encourages and promotes the development of futures studies as a transdisciplinary academic and professional field in all parts of the world. WFSF operates as a global network of practicing futurists - researchers, teachers, scholars, policy analysts, activists and others from approximately 60 countries.

CHARITY BALL

Charity Ball is a soccer charity that provides, new, quality soccer balls to kids in poverty-stricken communities around the world.  Charity Ball Soccer Charity was started in 2010 by Ethan King, who was 10 years old at the time. During the summer of 2009 he visited Mozambique (Africa) with his dad. While his father rehabilitated water wells, Ethan played soccer with the village kids. In one particular village, he decided to give his soccer ball away and quickly discovered the power of generosity. After returning to the United States, he decided that he wanted to do more. He gathered with some friends and officially launched Charity Ball.
