charity: water is a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations. Founded by Scott Harrison in 2006, charity: water has helped fund 6,611 projects in 20 countries, benefiting over 2,545,000 people.
The Center for Biological Diversity believes that the welfare of human beings is deeply linked to nature — to the existence in our world of a vast diversity of wild animals and plants. Because diversity has intrinsic value, and because its loss impoverishes society, they work to secure a future for all species, great and small, hovering on the brink of extinction. They do so through science, law and creative media, with a focus on protecting the lands, waters and climate that species need to survive.
REEF CHECK
Reef Check is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering people to save our reefs and oceans. Founded in 1996 by marine ecologist Dr. Gregor Hodgson, the Reef Check Foundation has volunteer teams in more than 90 countries and territories working to educate the public about the value of reef ecosystems and the current crisis affecting marine life; to create a global network of volunteer teams trained in Reef Check's scientific methods who regularly monitor and report on reef health; and to stimulate local community action to protect remaining pristine reefs and rehabilitate damaged reefs worldwide.

The mission of Giraffe Heroes Project is to move people to stick their necks out for the common good, and to give them tools to succeed. Giraffe Heroes Project achieves this mission through finding and commending real heroes, by creating and delivering Giraffe workshops, books & speeches, curricula & trainings for schools, a database of heroes around the world, OpEds, blogs, & a monthly e-zine, Heads Up. Giraffe Heroes Project was founded by Ann Medlock in 1983.
The Permaculture Association supports members and the public with advice, support, information and training about the theory and practice of permaculture. The word 'permaculture' comes from 'permanent agriculture' and 'permanent culture' - it is about living lightly on the planet, and making sure that we can sustain human activities for many generations to come, in harmony with nature. Permanence is not about everything staying the same. Its about stability, about deepening soils and cleaner water, thriving communities in self-reliant regions, biodiverse agriculture and social justice, peace and abundance.
IDA is the recognized authority on light pollution. Founded in 1988, IDA is the first organization to call attention to the hazards of light pollution, and in 24 years of operation their accomplishments have been tremendous. IDA promotes one simple idea: light what you need, when you need it. IDA knows some light at night is necessary for safety and recreation and works with manufacturers, planners, legislators, and citizens to provide energy efficient options that direct the light where we want it to go, not uselessly up into the sky.

The World Futures Studies Federation (WFSF) is a global non-governmental organization that encourages and promotes the development of futures studies as a transdisciplinary academic and professional field in all parts of the world. WFSF operates as a global network of practicing futurists - researchers, teachers, scholars, policy analysts, activists and others from approximately 60 countries.
Charity Ball is a soccer charity that provides new, quality soccer balls to kids in poverty-stricken communities around the world. Charity Ball Soccer Charity was started in 2010 by Ethan King, who was 10 years old at the time. During the summer of 2009 he visited Mozambique (Africa) with his dad. While his father rehabilitated water wells, Ethan played soccer with the village kids. In one particular village, he decided to give his soccer ball away and quickly discovered the power of generosity. After returning to the United States, he decided that he wanted to do more and officially launched Charity Ball.
Acacia Moyo works with the Maasai community in Kitengela, Kenya. Acacia Moyo’s goal is to prevent the sale of land by working with the community to jointly introduce and develop various sustainable, income-producing activities.

Wildcat Haven is a grass roots, community driven conservation project that focuses on Scottish wildcat conservation. The group is determined to save the wildcat in the wild where it belongs.
